This report draws on findings from our recent study of bonus schemes to look at how companies structure these in terms of:
- Factors and weightings
- Eligibility conditions
- Frequency of awards
- How some employers vary payouts by seniority.
- Maximum potential payments
- Most recent awards across a range of sectors, including retail and engineering.
The 2018 IDR bonus schemes study received responses from 30 companies across private sector services and the manufacturing and primary sectors, some of which operate multiple schemes (for example, aimed at senior managers or particular employee groups). Together the 41 bonus schemes analysed cover more than 168,000 employees.
Expert commentary and analysis sets us apart from other large consulting firms. We also collect our own data, which means we are in an excellent position to comment on the key trends in pay and reward.
