Four upcoming HR events in the UK

Four upcoming HR events in the UK

Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends in the employment field isn’t always easy but there are a few options for those who can venture out of the office for a day or two. It’s no surprise that conferences and exhibitions have become one of the most popular ways to network so we’ve trawled the upcoming offerings to share with you in one handy place.

1.     Pay Planning for 2020 conference – 19 September 2019

This day-long conference presents the findings of our recent research ‘Pay Planning for 2020’  where we asked over 100 employers about their intentions for pay over the coming year. Alongside this, IDR will provide commentary on key pay tends and guest speakers will give updates on the economy, labour market and employment law. The day will also feature case study presentations from three key private sector employers.

It offers delegates the opportunity to hear how other organisations have tackled reward issues, including using pay to support recruitment and retention and linking pay to employee engagement. Priced at £330+VAT this well-rounded event should provide some inspiration for those planning their HR strategy. It also provides the chance to meet other reward specialists and discuss current topics with them. Networking can take place before, during or after the conference.

2.   The London HR Summit – 25 September 2019

The London HR Summit is specifically organised for senior professionals who are directly responsible for the HR services of their organisation, and those who provide products and services within the sector.

This event is more intimate than other events and HR professionals are allocated 20-minute slots with suppliers in a one to one ‘no hard sell’ meeting alongside complimentary seminars with industry experts. This option is a good fit for anyone who knows exactly what they are looking for in a supplier – plus it’s free!

3.   Employee Benefits Live Exhibition – 1-2 October 2019

Employee Benefits’ event provides opportunities for compensation, benefits and HR professionals to network, share ideas and best practice, benchmark suppliers, source the most effective solutions and learn the latest techniques to attract and retain the best talent. This event has a huge range of benefits suppliers to suit every HR budget. IDR exhibited last year and a few of you came over to say hello. This year we’re heading North to the CIPD event.

4.   CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition – 6-7 November 2019

The CIPD’s Annual Conference and Exhibition is fast approaching and the initial exhibition is free to attend and will showcase hundreds of top organisations' offerings for HR professionals. It will be a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of pay and reward support, whether that be through benefits schemes, IT systems, benchmarking or recruitment. The conference features speakers from a range of key employers and includes case studies and workshops. The conference will set you back around £370 - £740 depending on your CIPD membership status and how many days you wish to attend. IDR will be showcasing at the exhibition so pop over to stand F54 and say hello!
