Our analysis of 21 pay awards in the financial services sector so far this year has found that these are running at 3.0% at the median (3.1% on average), down from 4.0% (4.2% on average) over the whole of 2024. The mode, or most common increase, was also 3.0%, with nine awards in the sample agreed at this level. The interquartile range has also narrowed slightly, from 0.7% in 2024 to 0.5% in the year to date. The sample of financial services employers accounts for just under 150,000 workers altogether.
