RPI holds steady while CPI and CPIH decrease

Inflation presents a mixed picture in the year to February dependent on the measure in question. The latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show the Retail Prices Index (RPI) annual rate at 1.4%, the same as it was in the year to January and the highest it has been since July 2020. The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers’ housing costs (CPIH) decreased to 0.7%, from 0.9% in January. Meanwhile the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) decreased to 0.4% from 0.7% the previous month.
