Apprentices catch up graduates' pay | Press mention in the Times

IDR is pleased to have our recent graduate research press release picked up by The Times this morning. Our study shows that fully qualified degree-level apprentices can earn as much as university graduates, with pay driven by demand for these degree apprentice roles since the Government scheme launched back in 2015. Meanwhile the pandemic has impacted salaries for university graduates, which appear to have come to a standstill.

IDR researcher Zoe Woolacott states, ‘The rapid pay progression for degree-level apprentices reflects the value that organisations place on these roles, with employers effectively able to grow their own graduates.’
