The pay awards we have monitored in the construction sector this year so far are higher than in 2025, showing at 3.5% at the median compared with 3.3% last year across our combined sample of industry agreements and construction firms. This figure is in line with the median we have observed across the wider economy this year in our ongoing monitoring of pay awards. However, the upper quartile in construction is somewhat lower this year (3.7%, compared with 4.1% in 2025), suggesting a lower number of higher-end awards in the sector.
