Inflation is down across all three measures in the year to June 2026 according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers’ housing costs (CPIH) rose by 2.8%, down from 3.0% in May. The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) increased by 2.6%, down from 2.8% last month. The Retail Prices Index (RPI) increased by 3.0%, down from 3.1% in the previous release. The fall in inflation in the latest period is largely due to a reduction in motor fuel prices, food prices and clothing and footwear prices.
