Pay rises at opted-out councils centre range from 3% to 5%

The outcomes of pay setting processes at the largest local authorities in England that are opted out of national pay negotiations are mostly centred on 3%, but a couple have awarded increases above this. While staff at Essex and Kent County Councils, and Oxford City Council, all received the lower figure, Buckinghamshire County Council awarded a slightly higher rise of 3.25%.
